What is Robotics?
Robotics is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program. It integrates mechanical, electrical, electronics, engineering, computer science, technology, math, science and critical thinking, all of which are needed for modern day students to be competitive in the global and technology market. Thanks to a Hallettsville Education Foundation Mini-Grant, HES WAS able to purchase our first Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics Kits and introduce this science to HES students.
Energy and Excitement
Small groups of fourth grade students are engaged in building and programing their robotics. Excited, joy, exhilaration are evident on faces as they conquer the challenges provided by the program. Students are encouraged to demonstrate relevance to real world problems as they build and program. The ultimate goal is to sufficient acquire knowledge to compete in robotic competitions.
ROBOTICS IS BUILDING LEADERS OF TOMORROW.
